Before that she held many key roles at the CBC, including general manager and editor-in-chief of CBC News, and led the development of iconic shows like The Current.

Angela Mullins (she/her) is the Editorial Director at Pink Triangle Press, which publishes Script. Before this role, she was a senior editor at the Toronto Star, where she launched the national news team and led impact-driven journalism for underrepresented communities. She has held leadership roles in news across Canada and the U.S.

Ziya (they/them) oversees all content at Script. Formerly the senior editor of health at Xtra magazine, they worked at Reader's Digest Canada before coming to Pink Triangle Press. Their award-winning journalism has been published by many outlets, including the Toronto Star, the Narwhal and Chatelaine.

Caora McKenna (she/her) is a Halifax-based journalist responsible for community-based collaborations and digital outreach across Script’s social platforms. She has worked as a journalism instructor at The University of King’s College, an audience editor at The Globe and Mail, and a city editor at The Coast, Halifax’s alt-weekly newspaper.
Mission and Mandate
Script is an accessible, one-stop destination for credible LGBTQ2S+ health information. We recognize that queer and trans people are too often dismissed, ignored or condescended to as they navigate healthcare systems that aren’t equipped to serve them. Script’s mission is to deliver crucial, timely stories about LGBTQ2S+ health that actually reflect readers’ perspectives, experiences and unique healthcare needs. We aim to have our coverage capture the complexity of how factors such as race, class, citizenship status and disability affect the ways people move through the world and the impacts this has on health outcomes.
We believe that access to equitable healthcare is a human right. We believe that discussions about our health should be frank, but that there’s also room for irreverence and fun. We believe that factual, reliable healthcare information can empower people to improve their own well-being. We are pro-queer, pro-sex and pro-bodily autonomy.
While we will offer plenty of advice, we won’t be prescriptive—we won’t talk down to you, and we will push beyond the status quo. Our name reflects our desire to flip the script: we harness storytelling, community engagement and evidenced-based reporting to help LGBTQ2S+ people take charge of their health.
