It’s no secret that our bodies change when we start HRT—and those changes might extend to how our bodies feel or respond during sex. This can certainly be positive: Many trans and non-binary people who take gender affirming hormones report an elevated sense of comfort or affirmation during sex, for example. 
 

Testosterone and estrogen can also affect libido, as well as factors like lubrication, which can in turn play a role in STI risk.
