You might have heard recently about Doxy-PEP, a new medical strategy that can be used to protect your sexual health and prevent some STIs—specifically, syphilis, chlamydia and to a lesser extent, gonorrhoea. Doxy-PEP stands for doxycycline post-exposure prophylaxis, and is a common antibiotic taken after sex to lower your risk of getting an STI.
